Do guests need an app or account?

No. Gather is a fast web app for iPhone, Android, tablets and computers. Guests scan your QR code or open the link, then upload in their browser. Nothing to install, no guest account to create.

What’s in the free trial?

At launch, try every theme for seven days with up to ten images and 50 MB total. The $79 hosted plan includes all features.

Can I control what appears in the album?

Yes. Moderate guest photos, feature favourites and invite a cohost to help manage the album.

What do I get when I download my photos?

All your guests’ photos, compressed for the album. Capture time, GPS and camera information are kept by default; you can turn metadata off for new uploads. Downloads are not untouched camera originals.

Is self-hosting really free?

Yes. The Apache-2.0 app includes six themes, with no Gather subscription or storage quota. Run it with Docker on your own server. Atelier and Cinema are exclusive to hosted Gather.
